Tom Wujec at TED : Visual Thinking and Sense Making
Information designer Tom Wujec talks through three areas of the brain that help us understand words, images, feelings, connections. In this short talk from TEDU, he asks: How can we best engage our brains to help us better understand big ideas?
In this TED video, Tom Wujec gives a very clear and spectacular explanation on why visual thinking works so good for collaboration and problem solving. A powerful argument for using Visual Thinking tools like Mind Mapping.
Interesting presentation Philippe.
I would add that we humans internally visualize (map out) out thoughts, feelings, touch, smell and taste too. these enable us to create a mental map of what our senses deliver to our brains.
Thank you Wallace. You are right : visual thinking is powerful but we should'nt forget the diversity of senses that contributes to our mental maps.
